Bibliography

To date, Val has written three autobiographies.  The first, 'The Special Years' covers the period from his childhood until the appearance on 'Sunday Night at the London Palladium' that made him an overnight success.  The second book, 'Walking Tall' covers, as its name implies, his recording and television years until 1986.

The third book was released in 2009 in hardback and 2010 in paperback. It is called 'My Story, My Life' and is available from all good book-sellers.

The site has also discovered another book 'by Val', which is shown below...

The older books are no longer generally available, but Amazon might be able to help.

P.S.....

Talent with words must run in the family, as Val's daughter, Sarah Kavanagh is a novelist.

She has written two books, 'Wired to the Moon' and 'Fear of Custard.'
